The sunset is beautiful with the architectural feature, but I gotta say the starlings could be so much dirt on the image. They have not definition. This is a tough shot to take because the light is mostly gone and the birds are black. Perhaps they look much better at 300 dpi and printed, but...

I love that the colors of the sunset all seem (well, DO) radiate from the orange ball in the distance. The pier is peculiar looking, technical and elegant at once. The waves layer like blankets, and after all is said and done, the starlings are almost insignificant (but not unnecessary ) to the beauty of this picture. Lovely.
